AutoGen_5934520 Advanced Member Joined: 12/21/2019 Last visit: 10/8/2021 Posts: 12 Rating: (0)	Dear All, We have used Simatic manager software V5.6 for S7-300 CPU 319-3 PN/DP with ET 200SP RIOs, During the testing with Modbus_Master programming , we found status error 8186, regarding MA_ ADDR Error of Slave Number is above if assigned 100, 101,102,103....... (Like 3 Digits). Please find the attached Screen short for your reference. Best & Regarding, Varadharajan. (Like 3 Digits). Please find the attached Screen short for your reference. Your screendump shows an MB_ADDR of W#16#100 which is a hexadecimal value that equates to 256 as a decimal Modbus Slave address. Valid ranges for Modbus slaves are 1 to 247 (decimal) in normal mode and 1 to 65535 (decimal) in extended address area mode (see also previously linked manual). Question is which mode are you using?

AutoGen_5934520 Advanced Member Joined: 12/21/2019 Last visit: 10/8/2021 Posts: 12 Rating: (0)	Dear All, Further to query in the above statement, I had a clarified thought that i have been using the address of Decimal 100 for MD_ADD in the MODBUS Master block, So i can change the Decimal to HEX ( 100 to 64 ) while using the addressing for MODBUS block. For Example : Decimal (Slave Address) HEX 10 .................... ...........................A 11.................................................B . . 100..............................................64 101..............................................65 Kindly correct me if i'm wrong!.. Duris_I Diamond Expert Joined: 4/28/2015 Last visit: 11/16/2024 Posts: 10614 Rating: (828)	Hello, generally, if you want use decimal value, you set value as is f.ex. 100 (means 100 decimal). If you want use hex value, you need add 16# to value, 16#A means decimal value 10.
