Step7 Hardware IO Addressing

Hi Friends,

In the attached picture of Hardware configuration S7 300 (RHS) is existing over decade old Profibus system. In LHS side S7 400 system is desired to replace above S7 300 with same existing IO modules on Profinet system. In S7 400, the IO addresses should be same as S7 300 system, but, I am facing following problem in IO addressing as following.

1) In 4 DI i can change address from I16.0 to I16.3 but cannot enter I16.4 to I16.7 in next 4DI. But it has been possible in S7 300 system. Slot No.3. Now same as S7 300 How to put I16.4 to I16.7?, as it is not allowing!!

2) Similar in DO module from Q16.0 to Q 16.3 but cannot enter Q16.4 to Q16.7 in next 4DO. But it has been possible in S7 300 system. Slot No.13. Now same as S7 300 How to put Q16.4 to Q16.7?, as it is not allowing!!

If I allow this variation then I have running system uploaded program backup where it is difficult to change respectively in the program as this system of S7 300.

I am expecting a answer over this.
