Hello suren; I am sorry, but your question is much too vast to be abe to answer in a few phrases. And any misunderstanding at the begnning of your programming experience with Siemens can have an effect on your future relationship with S7 and S5 PLCs. I suggest you work with S7 PLCs to start with (the editors are much friendlier than their S5 cousins) and study the (short and easy) step-by-step Getting Started manual for Step 7. Once you have gone through it, you will have a good understanding of the different programming blocks used in the Siemens world. After that, maybe you can have a look at the following tutorials from Siemens (for S7-300 PLCs): http://www.automation.siemens.com/fea/html_76/down_module.htmThey will explain how to program, diagnose, configure and network these PLCs; standard projects can be downloaded in parasllel with the manuals and exercises, so the tutorials are complete and easy to follow. And of course come back to the forum with detailed questions. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
