strange moment w/ short circuit detection on fail safe inputs

We are using a safety sensor that is configuredas1oo2 and non-equivalent. Sensor is working fine with no short-circuit test but when you turn it on there will be an error: Internal short circuit or sensor supply defective. That is because the other contact of the sensor has a LED that indicates if the sensor has worked. LED drops the voltage through the contact and fails short-curcuit test. That is clear now to me but... Is there some way to avoid this error or disconnect short-circuit test for only onechanneland not for whole supply group? Thank you in advance. Best Regards, Macro Hello, other strange moment w/ short circuit detection on fail safe inputs.. 4/8 F-DI module, 1oo2 evaluation, 2 channel non-equivalent, w/ internal PS sensor have pair NO and NC contacts if closed contact connected to 1st channel and opened to 2nd - all ok if opened contact connected to 1st channel and closed to 2nd - short circuit fault other words - if 1st channel "1" and 2nd "0" - ok, if 2nd channel "1" and 1st "0" - short circuit doesn`t matter which group, other setting like disperancy properties, reintegration somebody can explain that?

So it is not possible to separate the channels for that functionality ! Nextstep is, you have to set up the right parameters like evaluation 1oo1 only a single channel sensor is connected 1oo2a two channel sensor is connected - equivalent means both channels from the sensor are from the same typ NC! if not you will get a fault - non - equivalent means the channels are different -> 1 NC 1 NO then it is a must that you cpnnect the NC to channel1 and the NO to the 2nd channel !! If you set up non- equivalent it is anecessary that you have the right order Pls have look to the manual http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/de/34474892 Chapter 7.5.7 Regards !
