Chengyue Posts: 16 Rating: (0)	Hello, 1.My project n is used PCS7 V8.0 ASIA Version(order No.6ES7 658-5AX08-0CA5 ) need to be switch language between english with Russian, Refered to following wibsite content if only needs to order the Engineering software package? Pls help to confim the PCS7 V8.0 ASIA version and english operationg system for PC whether can met requirment to Implement functionality and Whether has other requirment? 2. if only order the Engineering software package ,Pls advise how to perchase it to use Automation Value Card (AVC)?

Can you give some advise and methods for implemented this issue? Thanks very much!

Hello Chengyue, First Installed the Russian language Region & Language in the Control Panel, this will you will do if you have Windows 7 Ultimate, Then when your Project is over then only you should Start the Project language Conversion using the Text Lib. & Import Again. The Detail is already Explain in the FAQ I have Post in my last Thread.

I'm not sure that it is what you need, but I hope it is Components in the attached archive are intended to organize switching between Russian and English languages in WinCC Runtime. This is my personal method and it works in two Projects: one on PCS7 v7.1 and one on pure WinCC v7.0. I believe it suits PCS7 v8.0 as well but I could not be sure because I've never used PCS7 v8.x. Also it has nothing to do with translations of the whole Runtime, it is only needed for the Runtime's Language Switcher. I've made it up because I had no complete solution for translating WinCC to Russian. There are three main steps of changes: 1. Replacing the functions Close Runtime. Go to folder C:\Program Files (x86)\SIEMENS\WinCC\aplib\Split Screen Manager\ Backup these functions: SSMChangeLanguage.fct SSMGetLanguageIndex.fct SSMShowLanguage.fct Replace them with the .fct files from my archive. Now Runtime* could be activated if needed. *2. Replacements in GraCS* folder** Go to the Project folder GraCS. Replace the @Language.PDL with such file from my archive. Copy the next pictures into GraCS: Flag_UK.png Flag_RU.png Flags_RU-UK_0.png Flags_RU-UK_1.png 3. Editing the Language button in @Buttons12.pdl Open @Buttons12.pdl from your Project's GraCS folder. Select the 'Language' button (located on Layer 1) and go to it's Properties > Pictures. You will see two pictures in the Attributes 'Picture Status On' and 'Picture Status Off'. Double click on them and change the '@language.bmp' to 'Flags_RU-UK_1.png'. The picture should be changed to the Russia / United Kingdom flags. Do the same changes with the 'Language1' button (located on Layer 0). Enter the picture name 'Flags_RU-UK_0.png' Attachment WinCC Runtime. Change Language English-Russian.zip (486 Downloads)

Your '?????' should have nothing to do with the Chinese language because those both texts are static: 'English' and 'Русский' (='Russian'). So I guess that your problem is about bad display of the Cyrillic letters. First you should make sure that your WinCC project is configured for English and Russian: open Text Library in WinCC and match that there should be two columns of texts — English and Russian. Now as for the displaying of the Russian letters ^{(it is Cyrillic letters but indeed it was not the man Cyrill from Greece who made this alphabet. Those letters existed long before all those smarty Christians)}. Try to change the system locale: - Open Start > Control Panel > Clock, Language, and Region > Regional and Language Options. - In the Administrative tab under Language for non-Unicode programs, click Change system locale. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation. - Select the Russian language. After OK you would have to reboot, do it and then check your texts again. As fas as I remember the messages of the FBs should be translated from SIMATIC Manager. Do the text Export there and look for the texts of the messages.

Are you using the actual PCS7 version 8.0 SP1? 2.) Are you using the asia version or the european version of PCS7? 3.) Do you intend to use the system extension "Russian Localization for PCS7" or not? 4.) Do you intend to to the engineering in english and later an translation to russian language will be done or are you a russian speaking person and the engineering is done in russian language? There are two different strategies possible to manage multilingual PCS7-projects. 1.) Additional language is added on SIMATIC-Manager-side and translation is done on this side already or... 2.) Just adding the additional language on WinCC-side and export /importtexts for translation using the editor "Text-Distributor" from WinCC. Depending on your answers I will give you further information / advise. A own and independent topic is how to switch to the new language during WinCC-runtime. If you purchase the package "Russian Localization for PCS7" you don't need to do anything regarding this point because it's already done with that package (scripts and @language.pdl). If you don't use the package "Russian Localization for PCS7" I can give you a step-by-step-toutorial for this topic wich I posted already in the german forum some time ago. I will translate it to english and post it here. Regards...

Pls help to provide your advise and method for solve this issue. Thanks !
