Symbolic I/O Field (HMI) - default value problem

Hi,

I'm using an HMI for my application. And in this HMI I have a Symbolic I/O field where I select the desisted temperature (see attachment)- So far so good, I created a table with the the variable's text and value (see attachment).

Since I want to have a default temperature, in case no temperature is selected in the HMI (38.5ºC - value 385 [attachement]), I selected the option default. However, every time no temperature is selected (and the default is mantained) the value which is passed is 0, and not 385 as wanted.

How can I solve this problem?

"default" is the text that will be displayed when none of the values on the list is selected.

Think of it as the C++ instruction..

switch (expression)
{
  case constant1:
     group-of-statements-1;
     break;
  case constant2:
     group-of-statements-2;
     break;
  .
  .
  .
  default:
     default-group-of-statements
}

You will have to find another way.. Maybe make a PLC code to say if the value is zero make it the "default" value. Then include your "default" on the text list.

I though it would also assume some default vale, but I was wrong.

I will try to use a comparator to 0, and if is true I will move the 385 value to the variable.

Did you solve this? I presume the temp value is passed to a tag. One way to do this would be to set the initial value of the temp tag to 385.
