Symbolic IO Field layering problem

AmazingTrans Posts: 31 Rating: (0)	Hi there, I have a problem with symbolic IO Field always lay on top of other objects, where if I have a graphic view (on layer 4) (bring to front as well) and it lays on top of the symbolic IO field (layer 1)(Bring to back). During runtime, when i call the graphic view visibility to true, the symbolic IO field tends to be on top of it instead. Any ideas why is this happening?

Tweety Posts: 3037 Rating: (192)	Hello, You should delete files with "Delete Temporary Files" in WinCC flexible. You find this function under "Options" in WinCC flexible. Then you use the function "Rebuild all" under "Project -> Compiler". Then you test it again. Do you have test it with a new project? Tweety

AmazingTrans Posts: 31 Rating: (0)	Hi Tweety, I tried doing the following and it is still the same. I have the Graphic on layer 3; "IO field" layer 1 "symbolic IO field" layer 1. In the design mode, the graphic is sitting on top of both of these IO. But when i put it in runtime, the symbolic IO field tends to be on top of the graphic instead. Any ideas? Maybe a bug in the software? Thanks! AmazingTrans

travispedley Advanced Member Joined: 2/18/2012 Last visit: 10/10/2024 Posts: 11 Rating: (0)	I had the same problem, 2008 SP3. Symbolic IO Fields are always on top when the Drop Down button is shown. Uncheck the "Display drop down button" in Properties/Layout. The field will still function correctly when pressed and the layering should work as expected.
