Technology objects

Hi,

I have G120 system like attached picture

I have a TIA portal V15.1

And I want to go positioning with that system

Then, What Technology objects can I use?

You know There are several Technology objects like TO_XXX in Motion Control, 

High_Speed_Counter in Counter and Measurements and the others

I don't know what I can use Technology objects?

Plz,  Let me know

to position the axis you use TO_PositioningAxis. And the encoder feedback is done via the TM_PosInput module as shown in your picture.

But TM_PosInput module's manual make me confusing

Refer attached picture 

It recommand to use High_Speed_Counter instruction

Why?

The manual is 2014 edition

New one  is different?

I am not sure

TO_PositioningAxis seems like easy to use to positioning

Hello,

for G120 with external encoder you can use TO Positioning axis.

To connect external encoder you can use Pos_Input or counter module, depending on your encoder.

The configuration is described in the manual:
