Telegram 999 - recieve direction

Hello gentlemans

I am fairly new to Siemens drives and profibus communications between a PC and VFD. I would like please and ask you for a help. In starter I can do PZD1 normaly (img.1) but in TIA i cant write PZD1 (img.2), usually i write parameters in PZD1 but every time they didn´t save. My question is what should i do better or how to set PZD1 in TIA?

Hi,

I do not really understand the question. In TIA you also have the possibility to select a telegram for the drive. If a standard telegram is selected (e.g. telegram 1) you will also see the interconnections of PZD1.

how you can see on the picture, every time when i write parameters in PZD1 didnt save and i dont know why? I have parameters in parametrisation bud didnt show in PZD1 confing and i dont know if they are there.

Maybe i must do something diferent?

Hello,

I recommend to not change PZD1. Select a standard telegram (such as telegram 1) and leave the PZD1 as it is, because the connections in PZD1 are according to the control sequence of the drive (switch on, enable setpoint, control by PLC bit,....). All those signals are needed to control your drive!

So when you want to do changes in the standard telegram then change to free BiCos but just change PZD2 to PZDx.

(I am not 100% sure but maybe this is the reason you cannot really change your PZD1, as it is mandatory for the drive control).

Maybe you tell us about your application and what you want to do with the telegram configuration - probably there is a smart solution.

PZD is always the same for all telegrams? and it is always saved in the first word? so if it does not show me PZD in TIA its still there?

I would like to use standart PZD1 and change only some parameters in telegram 999. When I use standart telegrams, PZD1 show me correctly but when I switch to 999 PZD1 is empty but it look like it is used. In STARTER when i swtich to 999 everything is OK, I have this problem only in TIA, but normaly I use PZD1 as a control word.

yes, in general you could say that PZD1 (control word1) is more or less always the same for all telegrams. The rest (all other PZDs) then are different.

And yes, if you first select a standard telegram (e.g. telegram 1) the parameters for PZD1 are connected correctly and they will remain if you change then to 999 (free BiCo) - maybe there is just some issue in displaying. Then just change other PZDs or extend the telegram by further PZDs to add customized data.
