You can't see it, but the experts of that conference can place a 'filter' / 'post monitor' to see which threads are still open. But your idea of placing a finished icon is something I like ! with regards, Ikkezelf

There is one problem I see ... If one thread contains "only" a question of one user it would workif the iniator of the thread would mark it as finnished. But often there is a further question of another user. Then it would be difficult. Maybe we will find a solution. Lets think about it. Best regards CS Moderator

Think it will be much easier to follow up the discussions when "only" one question is discussed within one thread. To block the labeling would be a way. It was a very nice question put up about how to identify that the questions put up in the forum have been answered. I would suggest the starter of the thread to finally post a comment saying which of the solutions posted by different users of the forum has solved his problem. This will help to solve similar problems faster in the future.

At least that's my experience in the years I'm wondering within these forums. Once the problem is solved people are not bothered or feel not necessary to close the thread by informing that the problem is solved. Here i can suggest 1 solution wherein a button can be provided on the screen only to the starter of the thread to intimate that the problem is solved and what was the solution. Also to make this compulsory a scheme can be made where only x nos of threads can be kept open. The site will not allow the user to post new threads if the earlier threads are not closed. This will be being a bit strict but it will only help the users of the forum.

For example if a user has two problems, only one could be published. Anyway thank you for your idea how to realize suchfunctionality. At this discussion it is shown, that there are a lot of users which are most interested in solving the problems of others. So I really love this thread!
