TI 505 7028 Thermocouple input card

Dipsw Posts: 32 Rating: (0)	Dear, we are using TI 505 7028 Thermocouple input card in our process controller(used as a remote I/O). we are going to replaced with TI 505 7028A thermocouple card but it was not detected in plc(siemens 400 Series plc)as well as its LED which shown module is ok not showing. So please guide me how to upgrade this module from 7028 to 7028A. Regards, Dip

billwest Posts: 510 Rating: (119)	Dipsw, Please confirm you had a working system that included a 7028 module in a remote rack. The remote rack was communicating with an S7-400 over the DP network. You decided to replace the 7028 with a 7028A. You removed power, removed the connector block, removed, the 7028, inserted the 7028A, re-attached the connector block , and restored power. You say the 400 does not recognize the module. Does the Module LED come on when power is applied? If there is no indication you may have a bad module. Did you verify the dipswitchs on the 7028A are set the same ason the 7028? What value is displayed in the Status indicator on the RBC? Attached are the status code pages from the RBC manual.
