TIA Portal is CONFUSING OBJECTS WITH EACH OTHER

Humble_learnee22 Posts: 40 Rating: (0)	Hello All, I'm running an HMI in Win CC Advanced Version 13 STEP 7 and PLC SIM V13. I recently obtained the error listed below: ,Internal WARNING (detail: direct relation from PS_BorderedShape_Shadow {15733010-5069} to object {15733011-5070} was skipped, failed to get target object key from target id).,0,1,12:17:41 PM When I added an appearance animation to a bar on the screen, some of the I/O tags changed to the color I set in the bar instead of their individual settings. I believe this problem is related to this error. It looks like TIA portal can't distinguish between the bar on the screen and an I/O tags somewhere else. This caused even more problems when some of the I/O tags were not even responding to their own process values. They were responding to another I/O tag's process values. I double checked everything and the process values were assigned correctly and the HMI has worked in the past. I recently deleted a VB script file and its associated objects, but I'm not sure if that has something to do with it. It may well be that this Internal warning has something to do with the problem I'm having, but I'm not 100% sure. Why in the world would TIA portal not be able to maintain the link between process value and their associated objects? What is going on? I've been working on this project for about 500 hours and most of it is working, but this happened just yesterday right before I had to submit it to a client, so you can imagine how frustrated I am. (For example Libraries > Documents > Automation > "Your_TIA_Project") There are some folders inside (like: "AdditionalFiles", "IM", "Logs", "System", "tmp", "UserFiles", "Your_TIA_Project.al13") Copy the "IM" folder and rename it, for example "IM_original". Delete the "IM" folder. Go to your project, which you have open in TIA Portal. Right-click on your HMI project in the project tree. In the context menu click on "Compile > Software (rebuild all)" WinCC compiles the whole HMI project and rebuilds the "IM" folder. (The IM folder has temporary HMI files in it.) Test your projects. If your buttons work alright again you can delete the "IM_original" folder.
