The s7-1500 had program version v15 uploaded. During testing, I uploaded the program version v18 to it. Now I would like to upload the program again in version v15 and I get an error: the selected online target could not be reached.

Is this not possible?

It is possible to work with Sytep7 V15 again.

Reset the PLC to factory settings. Do it from V18.
Then follow up by loading your program from V15.

The alternative is to clear the program from the memory card. Though I am not sure how to do this without messing up the system files of the memory card.

if you would like to delete the data from the SMC manually, you can use a standard card reader (only possible with the new SMC for S7-1x00!).

Open in windows explorer and manually delte the file "S7_JOB.SYS" and the folder "SIMATIC.S7S".

Do not "format" the SMC with windows. Do not delete hidden files and folders!

You can also download the project to the SMC directly, so you do not need an online connection to the cpu. Plug the SMC afterwards into the CPU again.

How do you create the project data for the SMC so that you can download the project to the S7-1200/S7-1500 CPU even without STEP 7 (TIA Portal)?
