TON doesn't work well with PLCSIM?

be.true Posts: 34 Rating: (0)	Hi, I'm testing the function "TON" in CFC on a "WindowsXP Pro + PCS7 V6.1 SP1 + PLCSIMV5.3 SP1" system, it seems that the timing of TON is not working properly. I set 30 seconds for ON delay, but the output always gets ONimmediately. I tried hours and days, it seems that the timing is always much faster than actual time, anyone tell me what's wrongin it? Thanks a lot!

Tomcat Posts: 433 Rating: (48)	Hello be.true, normally it should be working. In manual of plcsim this sfb is described as a function in plcsim. Did you initialize the instances of sfb at the beginning? Could you send your program as attachment? Best regards Tomcat

I just created a plain CFC chart and then inserted a plain TON function to test the timing. The frustration was like this: I did the test on three PC platforms - two desktops and one notebook, The timing didn't work well on one desktop and the notebook, but it did work well on the other desktop. The PCS7 and PLCSIM software were all the same, but the OSwere not. On the two not-working-properly PCs, WindowsXP Prowas installed, andon the other working-properly PC, Windows2003 Server was installed. I doubtedthecause of this problem might be an OS incompatibility, soI askedsomeone else to do the test on other PCs. He did the test twice on two PCs with different versions of OS installed, one was WindowsXP and the other was Windows2003 server. The result was just frustrating! Thetiming didn't work well on both PCs! I also tried single-cycleexecution and found that after 2~3 cycles, the output became ON irrespective of the30sec timeI set. Now I am quite confused, couldanyone kindly give me light on this? Thanks a lot!
