Trouble installing WinCC Flexible

L.Rujoi Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hello, I have been tring to install a 2008 SP3 version of WinCC on a Windows 7 64 bit laptop, and the installation proccess always stops when tring to install Microsoft SQP Server 2005. The error message a i receive is "The Following program could not be installed: Miscrosoft SQL Server 2005 Express Edition SP4 setup cannot complete the installation. 43 Unknown MSI Error Code : 43" (bello is a screenshot attached ). L.Rujoi Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Dear Tweety, Thank you for your answere, i have already tried this (i have tried one more time after saw your answere) but it seems that is not tha cause. It seems to me that the error occours when WinCC tries to configure SQL for usage. Do you know any other possible cause for this error ? Also do you know any possible conflicts with other programs ore anything like this ? Thank you :) Laurentiu

Tweety Posts: 3037 Rating: (192)	Hello, you deinstall WinCC flexible after this you use the Clean up Support Tool. Now you install WinCC flexible again. What can cause the installation to abort or prevent successful starting of WinCC flexible? Tweety

TomDeWou Platinum Member Joined: 11/15/2006 Last visit: 1/28/2025 Posts: 1319 Rating: (176)	You should check the windows eventlogs and SQL logfiles, maybe there is any hint what causes this. An error 41 is not a valid msi error code, it seems this code is coming from deeper installation and is just reported to the top window which displays this as an msi error

L.Rujoi Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	I have looked in the error logs from SQL but no usable data, i tried to open it with Total Commander viewer but it's not readable. (The log is attached if you want to take a look, change the extension from .jpg to .trc). @Tweety I have tried again what you said in your last answer an still i have the same problem.
