Hello mahmoud; The easieast (and cheapest) way to expand the S7-300 rack is with a IM 365 : http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/4068543 You will find further descriptions on the IM 365 in the S7-300 module data manual, in the chapter on Interface Modules: SIMATIC S7-300 S7-300 Automation System Module Data Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier Edit: Darius is correct, the CPU 312 iss limited to only one rack, and it cannont use the IM 365 or IM 360/361 pairs. You could also add a CP342-5 and ET200M to your 312CPU as additional I/O station. I hope this helps
