dchartier Grandmaster-Expert Joined: 9/27/2006 Last visit: 1/15/2025 Posts: 12328 Rating: (2698)	Hello mahmoud; The easieast (and cheapest) way to expand the S7-300 rack is with a IM 365 : http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/4068543 You will find further descriptions on the IM 365 in the S7-300 module data manual, in the chapter on Interface Modules: SIMATIC S7-300 S7-300 Automation System Module Data Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier Edit: Darius is correct, the CPU 312 iss limited to only one rack, and it cannont use the IM 365 or IM 360/361 pairs. Darius Platinum Expert Joined: 9/28/2005 Last visit: 12/10/2024 Posts: 2957 Rating: (243)	Hi, For rack extension you need IM360 and IM361, but the problem is that CPU312 does not support rack extension. 'Lowest' CPU to support rack extension is S7-313C v2.6. You need to choose another CPU in your configuration.
