Unable to acknowledge server horn from client

adilmahsan Posts: 71 Rating: (2)	Hi, I am facing some problems with my multi-client single server architecture in acknowledging horns on the server... i have followed the faq http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/llisapi.dll?func=cslib.csinfo&objId=43099697&load=treecontent&lang=en&siteid=cseus&aktprim=0&objaction=csview&extranet=standard&viewreg=WW to the dot... i am trying to use the acknowledgement by group option to acknowledge the horn on the server from my clients my problem is that when after the wmv file associated with my alarm class starts playing, it doesn't stop when i acknowledge the horn from my client. it only stops when i do it from the server... i'd really appreciate any help btw: i am using a standard sound card and i have pcs7 v7.1

Hi adilmahsan, In the client configuration remove the server prefix and generatejust local horn tags. The horn silence on the client looks for local tags and has no "knowledge" of the tags on the server. Regards

adilmahsan Posts: 71 Rating: (2)	Also, I have all my horn tags on both server and client set to update locally... i've tried it with setting everything to project wide on both the server and the client AND i've tried it with setting only @hornreset to project wide on both the server and the client didn't work in either case

Phantom75 Posts: 2661 Rating: (279)	Please post screenshots again and add screenshots from the Horn folder of internal tags. I would suggest deleting the old horn tags and reapplying the tags. Deactivate/activateruntime. Also, return the properties of @ResetHorn to original values, donot modify any standard tags. What you are trying to accomplish is a tested feature and works well in various PCS7/WinCC versions .
