Upload parameter from Sinamics DCM (6RA8081-6DV62-0AA0)

Hi Everybody!

I want to upload parameter from Sinamics DCM (6RA8081-6DV62-0AA0) to Laptop (Windows 7 Pro 32bit and Starter V4.5 SP1) via RS232 cable (as attached picture).

Please show me step by step to upload parameter.

in Work with STARTER via the RS232 interface document.

Please explain and show me how to do it.

When user select Profibus communication & set address via parameters, i.e. p2030 = 3 it is Profibus communication & p0918 = 3 it is Profibus address. When these parameters are input, these are stored in RAM. To permanently store these parameters, it must be saved in non-volatile memory i.e. ROM. So to do this user must set p0977 = 1 so that RAM parameters will be copied & stored in ROM. Switch power OFF & ON again, this way all non-volatile parameters will be read & stored in RAM. This is standard procedure. These are additional setting for Profibus communication. In your case i.e. RS232, you need to set PG/PC interface parameters as described in FAQ & connect cable to X179 port.

I followed the Work with STARTER via the RS232 interface document but I can’t connect the Laptop to Sinamics DCM. The Stater software appears a “Find accessible nodes” pop-up but not results (as attached picture).

To which port you connected RS232 cable? It should be connected to X179.

Please check cable pin connection, it must be as below.

COM1(PC)                   X179 (SINAMICS DCM)

Set drive parameters via BOP as below.

DO1.p0003 = 3

DO1.p2030 = 3

DO1.p2011 = 3 (left CUD) or

DO1.p2011 = 5 (right CUD)

The perform "Save parameters" and switch the electronic power supply OFF and ON again so that the settings can take effect.

Please check above points.
