Dear All, I'm in a bad situation and need help. I have this Step5 program and I need to convert it to Step7, but I get many errors that I can't handle. I used the Step5 to Step7 converter to create the AWL source, but when I compile I get many errors. Can anyone help?? I read much much about migration, but still lost. I'm at the site and I'm migrating many machines, which are all OK, but this particular machine is very stubborn.

Hello AMAZINGAHMED I did a quick test conversion of your S5 program and the source filecompiles without errors, so I'm not too sure why you are getting so many. I suggest you try the following anyhow: 1.) Make sure your S5 XREFis up to dateand available for the conversion (I wonder if you did the S5 to S7 conversion without the XREF which would explain your problem asthe converter can then not sort the block calls correctly and the S7 Source file compilation will "complain") 2.) Runit through the S5-S7 converter(with the S5 XREF file available) 3.) Comment out FC 83 and 84 from the source file (FB242 and 243 from the S5) and replace them with simple Integer divsion and multiplication logic 4.) Compile the source file 5.) Do the usual clean up of the converted logivc (e.g. fix up any errors from the S5 to S7 conversion, replace all partial DB adressing with complete adressing, add comments, re-create the DB structure, assign symbols, etc. etc.) I hope this helps |

That what was missing from me. I managed to do it just before reading your reply, but thank you veryvery much for help The sorting of the blocks was wrong, so I copied each function one by one into another source files and made the compilation one by one. |
