Urgent ! - User login

I created two user login groups for Administrator and Operator . When I transferred the project initially,the passwords for Administrator and Operator were working fine. I set a logoff time of 5 mins for both the groups.After logoff, Only password for Administrator was working and not forOperator. Again after auto logoff, both the passwords were not being accepted. This was theinformation I gotfrom site . I wanted to know if there is any way to change/remove this password temporarily from the touch panel , since they require to operate the plant immediately and this user login is preventing access to control the plant. Thanks a lot

You could try to make one extra screen on panel and add 'User View' control in it. Then you can manage logins, change passwords and so on. So you could see what is the problem. Also read this topicWhy can you no longer log on to the operator panel (or WinCC flexible Runtime)?

Darius Platinum Expert Joined: 9/28/2005 Last visit: 12/27/2022 Posts: 2957 Rating: (242)	Yes, it's possible, but you need to be logged as admin allready if you want to change all existing user's passwords. I think you can use built in administrator account and use default password which is 100 if I'm not wrong. Or you can set your own password.

You can do it only on separate projects, which are not integrated into Step-7. If you want to save your project which is integtrated into Step-7 and make it as separate project then do 'Project --> Copy from Step 7'.
