When using a the V15 True/False constants with a FB, some unexpected behaviour occurs. I believe this is just bad terminology from siemens. If you set an input high on a FB then change the input to False(blue constant) then the FB also interperates this as False as expected. If you set the input high and then delete the input to the FB, it displays 'false' in grey. This appears to be disabling the input as opposed to giving the FB input a logical False. Thus maintaining the previous input state of True... whilst still being labelled as False. i find this very misleading and occasions have occured when collegues have been caught out by this. It seems that you MUST ENSURE THAT THE FALSE IS BLUE AND NOT GREY. Further justification/explaination and comments are welcome. See attachment AttachmentTrue False FB input.docx (102 Downloads) |
