Using virtual axis

I created virtual axis in my device but hasnt assigned a drive to it. Now when i try to move this axis using _pos command 40005 error will come which says the axis is not enabled. If i try to enable this virtual axis using _enable command , error will come saying the configuration is incorrect. What is the usual procedure to run virtual axis?

Which parameters you use exactly for the _enableAxis? Do you have really a virtual Axis or a Axis with "Late binding"? Regards Christoph
