What CP of PC Station to use in a local project?

tepasaf Posts: 11 Rating: (0)	Good day, everybody! If i create a local project for training, what CP should i use in the configuration of PC Station? 1. CP1613? 2. IE General And what each other means? I ask because when i configure PC Station (command: PLC->Configure) there is always generate error: This component is not installed! (With red cross). And Station Configuration Editor also say that: The configured component (IE General) could not be assigned to any existing component. (with red cross status). PS. ES and OS are in one machine.

Problem: Now i Added IE General to The Station Configuration Editor, but it is always STOP! Even if i press RUN in context menu! Why? Help me please.

Deleted User Posts: 767 Rating: (69)	Hello, -IE Generalterm is usedfor standard network cards, they support up to 8 connection-only single AS systems. -You should use CP16XX if you have a redundant AS or if you have more than 8 connections. -For simulation,Configureyour projectwith Single AS and IE general in PC station side. Then you get communication between OS and PLCSIMalthough you did not define any connection in Netpro.

James.Yang Posts: 15 Rating: (0)	Hello, I met the same issue and I changed a different IE General with the error message became "The configured component (IE General) could not be assigned to any existing component. (with red cross status)." I configured the two Vmware workstations as ES and OSS. They can visit and pin each other. But I could not get through the step PLC-configure. Anything you guys can think of? Thank you James
