Hello chandrakant singh as far as I'm concerned, the 8 in an IM151-8 is a more or lessarbitrarily choosen number by Siemens to determine to which part of the IM151/ET200S family it belongs. If you look at the IM151/ET200S range, you'll get the following: "Pure" Interface Modules (IM's): IM 151-1: ET200S Profibus DP slave IM IM 151-2: ET200iS Profibus DP slaveIM IM 151-3: ET200S ProfinetI/O deviceIM Interface Modules (IM's) with CPU inbuilt: IM 151-7: ET200S CPU with Profibus DPinterface IM 151-8: ET200S CPU with Profinetinterface I hope this helps |
