you can open a support request and ask for the old install files.

Sometimes it is faster to contact your local Siemens distributor's support group and request copies of the specific software required - including any updates and service packs so you are running the least buggy and most capable setup for any specific older software revision / version.

I still have media for V10 SP2 (spitting profusely at saying that... ) even though I'd never want to install or use it.  Perhaps someone in your company also has a copy of the media for the older software you require?

Is that a thing?  Are we not allowed to operate older versions of TIA Portal as required by customer installations which may or may not be "export controlled" for software that simply has lost support?

Local means there is no "export" restriction as they are in the same country under the same legal system.

If you are licensed to operate V17, you are licensed to operate V10.5 SP2 up to V17.

i think not that a local Siemens Distributor will break law (Export Control) to provide older no longer supported Versions of Software.

operate and provide are different things!

Export Control also not country based (is general) , each one must  perform this check.

if someone provide a export controlled SW they must check this before any provide/purchase.
