Where would be the best Conference to ask a question regarding a TIA portal programming question?

Hi there

I am a new user here, and am currently getting familiar with the Siemens TIA Portal. I have a question regarding a programming aspect within TIA portal, namely the negation/ignoring of certain inputs in a network, but am unsure where to ask this question.

I am using TIA Portal V15.1 Professional, and am programming a S7-1200 1214C DC/DC/DC PLC.

Any help in pointing me in the right direction would greatly be appreciated.

welcome to the Technical Forum! I'm very pleased that you are asking and that you are thinking in advance, which conference is best suited to your question. 

I guess that your topic is suitable for the conference STEP 7 (TIA Portal) - it depends on which specific question you have.
If you click on a conference in the navigation bar on the left or on the startpage itself, there is a description for each conference under the heading. You can also use the forum search and see which conference has the most hits for your question (side-note: you can use the forum search to find already existing topics that can help to solve your question).

If you are unsure in which conference your question can best be asked, due to the large number of possible conferences, you can leave the assignment to the moderator.

Hello.

The name "TIA Portal" is a reference to a group of software.

It is almost like saying "Libre Office". When asking something about spreadsheets, one may want to mention the "Calc" package.

In your case Step7 module in TIA Portal is used to configure PLCs. See the picture below on where you can find that specific conference.
