Which attributes are writable/modifiable via the TIA Portal Openness API?

We keep receiving questions about which attributes can be read or written automatically using TIA Openness, e.g. whether write protection can be set or removed for all FBs.

In the current TIA Portal Openness version, the attribute "isWriteProtected" is declared as ReadOnly.

Specifically: Via the API (interface for programming applications), it can be read out whether the programme block is write-protected, but its value cannot be changed.

Whether individual attributes can be edited via TIA Portal Openness is usually already listed in the instructions for the API.

It is also worth taking a look at the TIA Openness Explorer. This lists all available attributes including access (read, write).
