WinAC RTX & S7-1500

I want to know that can we control S7-1500 by WinAC RTX software only, or not another softwares are necessary too?

what do you mean with control?
WinAC RTX is a soft PLC which is running on a windows system.
The whole system , PC and WinAC RTX, is a PLC like the S7-1500.

So what you would Control?
Or do you mean communication between WINAC RTX and S7-1500.

Youe need Step7 to configuing and program the WinAC RTX .

I mean to control S7-1500 as a slave with a PC ( soft PLC ) as a master.

I have another questions:

1) Can we connect S7-300, S7-400 and S7-1500 PLCs to the PC ( soft PLC ) as the slaves just by WinAC RTX, or not we need another software, because we are using S7-1500 too?

2) May you please tell me that what is the differences between S7-1500 Software controller & WinAC RTX ?

3) How can i activate the S7-1500 software controller?

Hi,

1) yes you can connect it as slave, but you need Step7 to project/configure this
2) S7-1500 Soft Controller is newer and based on the functionality of the S7-1500 HW PLC

there ist no download available for any of the SIEMENS Software Controller !
You can only order it with a IPC System.

Do you mean Installation on a non siemens IPC or what?

You can.

But perhaps not all functionality is given, i.e. nonvolatile (remanent)  memory

In fact, you can download the the CPU1505S which one must be install on a ET200SP open controller.

Current revision levels of SIMATIC S7-1500 Software Controller

I know that software controller S7-1500 CPU1507S is now available in DVD, because I worked with it 2 weeks ago.

You should contact your Siemens product provider to get it.

You will also need the license associate with it.

You can also order a IPC with the software controller already install.
