WinCC Error - SQL server cannot access database

Please Check access rights." Further to this error message the WinCC project is not opening. Find the screenshot mentioning the same. Pl provide a solution for this issue. efka Posts: 799 Rating: (43)	Dear Ganes10, there are a lot of possible reasons for this error message. With which WinCC version are you working? When does the error occured the first time? Is this, or was this an integrated project in Step7? Have you checked the groups, assigned to your user? Does this behaviour occur on every pc you want to open the project? Many questions, just to find out the reason regards

No such attempts were made on integration to STEP 7 The current (Adminstrator) user belong to the following groups - Administrators, Debugger Users, SIMATIC HMI, SIMATIC HMI CS, SIMATIC HMI VIEWER Behaviour - Only this PC is having the problem, other PCs are working fine. Even ready to answer more questions, tofix the issue.

efka Posts: 799 Rating: (43)	Ok, when you've installed Update 3 it is possible, that you don't have the correct rights, because with Update 1 (Update 3 includes Update 1 automatically)the access to the sql server was changed. Since this time, there is a tool called Simatic Rights (When you download the update, the tool is included) You have to execute this tool on your project for the correct rights. There also changed something with the user groups, but at the moment I'm not 100% sure, what exactly. You can read this is the release notes for the updates. (I think that you are no longer allowed to be member of the Simatic HMI Group, but compare this with the manual please) regards

WinCC v7.0+SP2 + Update 2 When i installed update 2, i had the same problem. Surprisingly the problem was solved on the next day with no reason left for me to guess. Now when i am installing update 3 also i'm having the same issue. Today this error is no more in my PC, i don't know what's happening. Do you have more info on the SIMATIC Rights ? (will be helpful) You mean to say the current user shouldn't be in the Simatic HMI Group, am i rite? To add with I'm having a problem which is not allowing me to activate the Graphics Runtime alone. Refer this pdlrt.exe error.

Still i have the pdlrt.exe error as mentioned in my last post. Any clues for that issue. I'm very much disturbed badly due to that issue. I'm not able to work with WinCC at all. Thanks in advance.

Hello Ganes10, I'm watching your correspondence with interest, because I also would like to know the "final solution", just to learn from it. If I take a look the the facts you wrote, I have to say, there must be a reason, why it works on one day and not at the other day. My experience is, that normally nothing happens "from alone". If I look into some theads of the forum, there have been somtimes very unexpected activators for something. Or little activators, causing big problems. At the moment I can only suggest to you, to bear all the things which have been done/changed on your PC's in the last days in mind. I know it's not the nicest thing, but sometimes it has to be done.
