Thankyou Mr Mihalev for your link. All the settings in the link are same as I set in my interface, but there is no error message or response at all. I shall update the jpegs of my settings as soon as I get back to my work place. Mean while I would like to know whether usb-ppi cable is supported by wincc flex or I have to get a Serial or some MPI cable? Regards Freeze

Dear Mihalev One more thing I would like to know that whether I need some kind of drivers with the Rs232/ppi cable or with MPI cable? Or wincc Flex has already built in some? Regards Freeze

Basically there is no need to install extra drivers. But you can check in divece manager in Windows if the cable is properly recognized... PPI cable must work. There is important to set the DIP switches. A description of this is given in Entry ID16532946. Best regards, Hristo Mihalev

Hello, more information about communcation with S7 200: What settings have to be made for a PROFIBUS DP connection between a panel or a PC with WinCC flexible Runtime and an S7-200? How do you configure communication between WinCC flexible Runtime or a Windows-based operator panel and an S7-200 (CP 243-1) via Ethernet? Tweety |
