I have a project on Wincc Flexible 2008, in which I use a VisualBasic script to connect to an external SQL server and get the data I need. In principle, this object has a STATUS property that would tell the status of the connection. My recommendation would be to look deeper into Microsoft: https://learn.microsoft.com/es-es/sql/connect/oledb/applications/using-ado-with-oledb-driver-for-sql-server?view=sql-server-ver16 Have a nice day!
