WinCC Log file diagnose

Raheel Bronze Member Joined: 8/10/2006 Last visit: 11/14/2023 Posts: 156 Rating: (3)	I am doing one project with WinCC 6 SP3, One of the picture takes 10sec to open first time and is not 100% updated on the first time. Once you go out of this picture and come back again it then shows all the object correctly. In wincc diagnose file I foung that more than 5000 Actions are called for this picture. I beleive each object contain 8 tags on average. So there could be more than 5000 tags involve on this screen. Because the problem only comes for the first time I come to this picture after WinCC startup and never after (after I only find a slow update speed of abt 8 secs). Can we bypass this limit of WinCC to access more than 5K tags? Thanks for support, RJ

Danielle Posts: 1275 Rating: (123)	Hi, This limitation, I believe, comes from the script engine. It can't handle over 5000 actions... You're saying you do have over 5000 actions normally? Can't you evaluate your actions and cycles, to optimize your project? Best regards, Danielle

This prob only occur first time when I load the runtime and come to this picture.. after that every time the picture takes longer time to open but all the values are updated... Can we enable any option in wincc to cache these tags and or wincc picture for better performance.. Thanks, RJ

April Posts: 1776 Rating: (95)	Hi, if you optimize your actions its the first step. You can create an global action (with no code) and add all tags as trigger. Then the Data will requested from AS before opening the picture. With this you increase your basic load. Check the PC performance.
