Hi All, I currently have a WinCC 7.5 system (K7.5.2.2) in which I'm trying to set it up so that one can run SQL queries to get historical data. In order to accomplish this, I'm using the WinCC OLE data provider for a SQL linked server (13.0.7024.30). I'm following this guide: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/de/en/view/109792612 (section 2.4 in particular, connectivity pack server is installed) I also have another 7.3 system with the setup I want that I'm using as reference. Unfortunately. whenever I'm trying to pull data, I get the following error: Msg 7353, Level 16, State 1, Line 4 The OLE DB provider "WinCCOLEDBProvider" for linked server "WINCC_ALARMS_TAGS" supplied inconsistent metadata. An extra column was supplied during execution that was not found at compile time. From this query (Executed in the SQL management service): select * from openquery(WINCC_ALARMS_TAGS,'Tag:R,(99910),''2023-09-01 00:00:00.000'',''2023-11-03 00:00:00.000''') Where WINCC_ALARMS_TAGS is the linked server of interest, and 99910 is the ID of a tag being logged. I've tried different tags, different date ranges, and referring to the tag by the archive category\tag name, and the error is the same. I've also tried to see if DBCC TRACEON(7300) provides any more information and it does not. If I purposefully mess up the tag name or date format the query fails with an invalid argument, so it's at least getting to the point of finding the right tag in the archive. My WINCC_ALARMS_TAGS has the following configuration: Provider: WinCC OLED Provider for Archives Product Name: WINCCOLEDDProvider and I've also tried the LnkRTD_WinCCOLEDB Data Source: [local machine name]\WINCC and I've also tried .\WINCC Provider String and Location are blank Catalog: CC_ExternalBrowsing and I've also tried the "R" database. In options Data Access is on. Between the connectivity pack manual and my reference server which are in agreement, I'm really not sure what I'm doing wrong. I haven't seen anybody with the same issue online. |
