WinCC OPC Server Error 80070005

Hi,

I'm enabling a WinCC Flexible 2008 SP3 project to run as a OPC Server. OPC Server machine is a Windows Embedded Standard 32bits. Locally OPC data/Server is accessible using another OPC Client application.

OPC Client is on a different domain, Windows 2016 Server 64bits.

OPC Client is having an error 80070005, I can connect to the computer and list all OPC Servers, the issue occurs when connecting to the WinCC RTM OPC Server. I know this is related to DCOM security settings but even following siemens guidelines it wouldn't work.

Followed all instructions for DCOM configuration, tried other things too:

-  create same user with same password on both machines (double checked the password);

- enable anonymous access/credentials and security;

- added users to Administrators Group and Simatic HMI group;

- run as interactive user.

One system is configured and working, the only difference is that the working server is a Windows 7 and has .NET 3.5.

Will try to install .NET 3.5 but this is not listed as a requirement for OPC or WinCC, and also there is nothing limiting the use o Windows Embedded.

If there are anything I could be missing that is not listed on the link above please let me know.
