Hi,

I am sorting a KTP700 Basic DP HMI for use with a blender.

I want to password protect the manual operation screen, accessed by the F2 button.

I have tried the showlogondialogue function for the button, with user and password, but when the cancel button is used on the password access, it allows access anyway.

There are several ways to do it with a screen button, but I don't know if there is one for the function button.

I am reasonably new to TIA Portal.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Instead of showlogondialog for the password protection you can use the security by opening the properties 

For this you need to add the users in the useradministration tab in TIA then you will get the logon popup automatically and it will not allow the operation until you enter the correct password

I have tried what you suggested, but I do not get security in the properties section.

When I try to put 'operate' in runtime authorization and download, it does not bring up a password entry.

Obviously I am missing something.

Hello,

The password protection does work in RT Simulator. It brings up the password entry and once the user and password has been entered, by selecting the button again the screen is displayed.

However, when downloaded to the HMI, the password entry is not displayed and I can not get to the screen.

Can anyone help with this problem please?
