Wincc V6.0 SP4 web navigator

yac Posts: 31 Rating: (0)	Hi all, I have the PCS7 V6.1 Service Pack1 system. I installed the wincc V6.0 SP4 from thew PCS7 DVD for wincc. I tried to install the Web Navigator server V6.1 SP1 from the PCS7 toolset DVD but during installation I get the message that the installation not possible since wincc V6.0 SP3a is not installed. I read the wincc v6.0 compatibility notes and found that the wincc V6.0 SP4 is compatible with Web Navigator server V6.1 SP1. Can any one help why the web navigator is requesting wincc sp3a? CBo Gold Member Joined: 4/5/2006 Last visit: 12/12/2024 Posts: 917 Rating: (63)	Hi yac, i'm a lil confused . PCS7 v6.1 uses WinCC 6.0 SP3a. Where you get WinCC 6.0 SP4? if you installed different versione of WinCC (not compatible with PCS7 version) should be that the error. regards

yac Posts: 31 Rating: (0)	Hi CBo, I use the wincc v6.0 SP4 from a separate wincc DVD which was supplied together with the system. I made uninstall for the wincc v6.0 sp4 and made setup for the wincc 6.0 sp3a, then I installed the web navigator with no errors. I tried to install wincc 6.0 sp4 after this but it did not accept. Is there a method to solve this problem? Best Regards

PCS7 and WinCC native works a lil different. i didn't understand where you installed WinCC 6.0 SP4: - if you installed over PCS7 station you need to remove all PCS7 application and reinstall (if doesn't works you need to reinstall the station anew) - if you installed over WebNavigator station, unistall and reinstall from PCS7 CD/DVD. here the compatibility list With what are SIMATIC PCS 7 V7.x, V 6.x, V5.x and V4.x compatible? reagrds

yac Posts: 31 Rating: (0)	Hi CBo, Sorry for the delayed reply but I was trying to solve the compatibility problem. According to the information you sent me, I finally succeeded to make the necessary set up. I am now using Wincc V6.0, Web Navigator V6.1 SP1. But, I am now facing another problem : 1- I installed the webnavigator server exactly as the manual description.(user rights, IIS, firewall...) 2- I configured the server for the computer IP address and published the project. 3- I connected from the client to the specified server, I installed the web navigator client and its plug-in's successfully.(basic process control, advanced process control) 4- The connection between the server and client happened only one time and I viewed the application successfully in the runtime on the client. 5- Now, the problem is that a message on the client keeps saying "Connecting to Server" and no connection happens. 6- I noticed also, on the server, that when I close the wincc and re-open it, I find the IP address in the web navigator configurator as "all not assigned". Can anybodyhelp me what is the problem?
