Wire break detection in the Digital input module F-DI 16x24VDC (6ES7526-1BH00-0AB0)

Hi,

I'm working on a F&G project with Siemens S7-1500 safety control system, the specification requires that for each Manual Call Point (MAC) we should be able to detect the short-circuit and the wire break status, 

According to the manual of the the digital input F-DI 16x24VDC 6ES7526-1BH00-0AB0, the channel detects only the short circuit status.

Is there any alternative solution which can help to overcome this problem?

Are you sure? I agree that it might be confusing...

- According to the ET 200MP F-DI manual a discrepancy diagnostic alarm will be generated both on short-circuit detection and on wire-break at the sensor (see section 6.3)

2- In chapter 7, the Technical specs state that there is no support for wire break detection ...

It most probably is an error in the manual, but which statement is true?
