Writing to VM locations.

I can map block parameters to VM locations using the "variable memory configuration" window, say map a Weekly timer on time to word location 2.

I can then successfully read this value with a Network Analog Input reading from VM location 2. Ok value is in BCD but is the weekly timer on time and can be used in calculations.

However I am unable to write to VM location 2 using a network analog output, to change the weekly timer on time.

Changing the network output/inputs to an unused VM location, I can correctly see the network analog output being reflected through to the network analog input.

According to the Logo!Soft Comfort Online Help manual (pg 120) the weekly timer values in VM are writeable. I am not seeing this.

Or am I miss-understanding the operation of the VM, in that logo only copies values to it during each cycle. 

I want to programmatically, via logo FBD,  set a timers on and off times based on the another timers on and off times.

I know the timer values are stored as BCD, I have functions for converting BCD to decimal and decimal to BCD so can generate a calculated BCD value for a timer, but so far I am unable to write this value out.

Attached is the .LSC file I am using to verify read/writing a timers value.

I have mapped, via tools->Parameter mapping, timer 1 on time to VW0 and timer 1 off time to VW2.

The timer off time is correctly read by my NAI2 block (8496 decimal maps to hex 2130, the timer off time).

However block NAQ1 is attempting write 8 to VW2, which is clearly not changing the timer off time or the value read by NAI2.
