Dear all,

nowadays the conversion from 4.3 to 4.4 TIA environment is a really hard task.

I am pretty experienced in converting small projects, but now my method is failing.

What I did is this:

Objective: convert a project made with 4.3, Wincc Flex 2008, with

1 Simotion 425-2

2 G120C PN

2 HMI TP177B 4"

2 ET200S in profinet

1 Smart Line Module in DQ

5 S120 Sinamics

To a project 4.4 TIA with two KTP 400 4". The rest of the HW is identical

Operation:

1) Open project with Scout 4.4 (no TIA) , upgrade the CPU to 4.4, refresh the libraries compilation mode (to 4.4 version)

2) Remove the G120 C and the relative code to avoid the fault of conversion because it is an unsupported device in this Partially Integrated Automation

3) Change panel version from TP177 B 4" to MP 277 8" (this to avoid the other bug that makes compilation fails in TIA if you simply convert directly TP177 B to KTP 400)

4) No problem, everything compiles (I also rebuild all), and also the coherency check is ok.

5) Also in Wincc everything is refreshed and updated.

6) I export the file and re-import in TIA environment

7) Everything seems fine, no errors in the TIA conversion log. BUT ! The TIA Scout doesn'tt open. You see the computer "doing something" but not opening Scout. After 30 minutes the situation is always the same. It is impossible to do other things in TIA, because everything is "freezed". I launch taskmgr and kill the two big processes of Scout (****ax and ***fax .exe). Everything becomes normal : Tia is active again. But Scout is impossible to open. I redid that operation again, from point 1 but with same result.

What can I do Guys ?

I have 2 HMI, your method says basically "created a blank project with Simotion D425-2 and import the project from the Scout 4.4 (non TIA).

What about the two HMI panels ?
