1511C- 1pn unable to configure PTO

Yuvaraj.T Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	bklogy.com I'm using new CPU S7 1512C -1PN and I can generate PTO pulse without any external module I'm using S7 1200 PTO outputs for stepper motor controlling now I'm in need to replace the system with S7 1500, for that 1511C- 1pn I have selected but unable to configure PTO , can I have the sample backup which will be very useful for my case ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Split from S7-1500 PTO Outputs.

Set: PLC > Properties > Pulse generator > PTO1/PWM1 > Data exchange with axis (Make sure that the parameters for 'Data exchange with axis' and 'Fine resolution' correspond to the parameters in the configuration of the used technology object.) Set and note: PLC > Properties > Pulse generator > PTO1/PWM1 > Hardware inputs/outputs Add: Technology objects > Motion Control > TO_PositioningAxis Set: Technology objects > PositioningAxis_1 > Configuration > Hardware interface > Drive > Drive > Pulse_1 Set: Technology objects > PositioningAxis_1 > Configuration > Hardware interface > Data exchange with the drive (Make sure that the parameters correspond to the parameters of PLC > Properties > Pulse generator > PTO1/PWM1 > Data exchange with axis) Set: Technology objects > PositioningAxis_1 > Configuration > Hardware interface > Data exchange with encoder(Make sure that the parameters correspond to the parameters of PLC > Properties > Pulse generator > PTO1/PWM1 > Data exchange with axis) Set: Technology objects > PositioningAxis_1 > Configuration > Extended parameters Compile and download Test: Technology objects > PositioningAxis_1 > Commissioning (as normal) Program your MC commands (as normal) Demo project for configuration as attached (with simulated axis). Yu-wen Tang Silver Member Joined: 10/7/2009 Last visit: 9/9/2024 Posts: 266 Rating: (92)	For CPU 1511C-1 PN/CPU 1512C-1PN, the pulse output channels for the pulse generators (PTO) are controlled using Motion Control via the technology objects TO_SpeedAxis, TO_PositioningAxis and TO_SynchronousAxis. For a detailed description of the use of motion control and its configuration, refer to the S7-1500 Motion Control function manual (https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/document/109749262/) and the STEP 7 online help.
