I have two redudant analog output cards, i have connected one channel of each card via a diode plate (Refer attachment ). My question is that when i connect the two o/p adds up & and i get double mA. Is there any settings that have to be done in step7....or there is any other settings Please advise... AttachmentAO_REDU.pdf (294 Downloads) |

Hello Tagolover, The redundant I/O's are only supported by S7-400H. For this job, you should read chapter 10 carefully inS7-400H manual. You will find explanation of how redundant I/Os work and then you will have to read the help of FC450, FC451, FB450, FB451,FB452 & FB453 that can be found under Libraries>Redundant IO in SIMATIC Manager. If you like to create your ownblocks then you will have to configure the analog outputs as 0..20mA instead of 4..20mA and calculate the output value of each redundant channel. The total current output is the summation of the currentof the 2 channels. At 4 mA, each channel should be contributing with 2 mA and at 20mA, each channel should give 10mA. Best regards. H-H |
