Goodmorning, I'm using two analog comparators to increment or decrement a counter depending on an analog input. I'm using the binairy representation of the value of the counter to activate outputs that eventualy steer the analog input in the right direction like a measuring and control-system. I also want to set the counter with predefined/fixed values and tried some possible solutions as: - saving the value of the counter in VM and using an analog network output to modify this on command (Problem here was LOGO! doesn't allow this, nor does it give a alarm or fault) - using mathematical operations to add the 'missing' part of the fixed value to the current counter value. (Problem, when the counter is not enabled, the value will retain its last value or 0, also, circular operations are not allowed even when none of the mathematical operations are used simultaniously) I did however find out its possible to edit the value through the screen of the LOGO, and via a Modbus operation. The first wouldn't be an option, because i want the proces to work automaticaly, the latter however is an option, if the logo would be able to command itself through modbus or if i'd use a second logo only for this command. The problem with this is Modbus works periodicaly, so just like with a mathematical operation, the fixed value will continuouslly be written to the device, and incrementing or decrementing this value won't be possible as it is continuouslly reset to the fixed value. Ofcourse its possible to work around this by communicating the incremention to the other device, but its not ideal. I was wondering if anyone found other sollutions. Changing the on/off values isn't an option because i'm not actually using the threshold function of the counter. I hope someone can help me! Thanks in advance! Sorry, but I do not understand exactly what your problem is. Can you upload your program to the forum? |
