How to change OB101 (Not supported by S7-315-2)

Emz Posts: 11 Rating: (0)	Hi Experts! I converted an S5 program and OB21 was coverted to OB101. I migrated the project to TIA v12 and I am using CPU 315-2 PN/DP to test the program. Unfortunately, the OB101 is not supported by S7-300 CPU. How can I change this OB? Thanks in Advance!! Attachment OB21-OB101.JPG (532 Downloads)

With STEP 7, you can, however, specify memory bits, timers, counters, and areas in data blocks as retentive to avoid data loss caused by a power outage. When the power returns, an automatic warm restart with memory is executed. Regards, Marcjan

Hello Emz There are upto Three types of Startup OBs available in S5 and S7 ( Depending on the type of CPU ). In SIMATIC-S5 : OB 20 - Manual or Automatic Cold Restart OB 21 -Manual Warm Restart OB 22 - Automatic Warm Restart after Power Failure In SIMATIC-S7 : OB 100 - Warm Restart OB 101 -Hot Restart ( Not in S7-300 and S7-400H ) OB 102 - Cold Restart In S7 300 CPUs only Warm Restart ( OB 100 ) is possible ( Excepy CPU318 / 319 ) Normally OB 21 of S5 should be converted to OB 100 of S7. and OB 20 should be converted OB 102 ( If available in S7 CPU ) Of the CPu selected by you does not support the Startup OB type ( e.g. Cold Restart ) then it cannot be used. Shaj-hulud Member Joined: 11/30/2011 Last visit: 4/4/2024 Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hello, I had the same proble, but I was migrating in two steps step5-step7 and then step7-TIA. And the only possible way I could find was to rename the OB in step7 and only after that, convert the project to TIA
