How to know which Byte is dedicated to which Module ?

1. So there is no specific addresing like A 4.0 but somehow whole DO module will by assigned to one Byte ? How do I know which Byte is dedicated to which Module ? Is like:

Module in slot 0 - Byte 0
Module in slot 1 - Byte 1
Module in slot 2 - Byte 2 etc. ?

I'm guessing since I have modules allocated as: DI; DI; DO; DI; DO; DI; DO
or there is somewhere in software table which define Module allocation to certain Bytes ? But I have also some outputs at 95U itself... how they are addressed ?

2. Do I think right (I have 8 DO at module) that in assigned Byte for example Bit 0 will be DO channel 0 (ie. Q x.0) and Bit 1 will be DO channel 1 (ie. Q x.1) etc ?

By S5 there is no hardware configuration like S7.

Can you make photo of the S5 with modules?

Yes, it is S5-95U with additional I/O modules. I don't have a photo but HW config is like:

95U = DI = DI = DO = DI = DO = DI = DO

From manual I know that first DI is in slot A0. I know also that CPU has address starting from I 32.0 (which looks similiar to S7 addressing). What I don't know is how for example such instruction:

:L   MB   2
:T   AB   2

is adressing HW ? AB is Ausgang Byte right ? And 2 mean... second slot ? Or CPU slot ? Or smth else ? Also what is MB 2 (flag byte ?). Is it fixed byte containing group of Markers ? if yes then how it's defined ? Where I can find which marker has which position in this byte ? 


For example im my HW config - let say I have some simple logic and result of it (RLO) I would like to address to DO module in slot A3 at channel 0 (marked bold above). Which byte "AB" it will be ? Is it fixed or has to be defined somewhere ?

The addressing is byte-oriented and the slot number is the respective byte address.
Example:
Slot 0 = byte 0
Slot 1 = byte 1
Slot 2 = byte 2
and so on. The highest slot number can be 31.

In your case, this means:
Slot 0 = EB 0 (input byte 0, E 0.0 - E 0.7)
Slot 1 = EB 1 (input byte 1, E 1.0 - E 1.7)
Slot 2 = AB 2 (output byte 2, A 0.0 - A 2.7)
Slot 3 = EB 3 (input byte 3, E 3.0 - E 3.7)
Slot 4 = AB 4 (output byte 4, A 4.0 - A 4.7)
Slot 5 = EB 5 (input byte 5, E 5.0 - E 5.7)
Slot 6 = AB 6 (output byte 6, A 6.0 - A 6.7)
Slot 7 = Not used in your program
Slot 8 = AB 8 (output byte 8, A 8.0 - A 8.7)

The byte addresses 32 and 33 are reserved for the base module, since the highest slot number can be 31.
On the base module there are both input bytes 32 and 33 (E 32.0 - 33.7) and both output bytes 32 and 33 (A 32.0 - 33.7).

The flag addresses are also byte-oriented.
The address of a flag bit (M) is composed of the byte address and the address of the bit within these byte.
The flag bit M 3.5 is therefore the bit with the address 5 of the flag byte 3.
MB 0 = M 0.0 - M 0.7
MW 0 = MB 0 + MB 1 = M 0.0 - M 1.7
MD 0 = MW 0 + MW 2 = MB 0 + MB 1 + MB 2 + MB 3 = M 0.0 - M3.7

L MB 2
T AB 2
means that the status of flag bits M 2.0 - 2.7 is transferred to outputs A 2.0 - 2.7.

p.s. just one more thing: if as you said all addresses are byte oriented in means that always instruction

will address all flag bits from Byte 32 to certain outputs right ? So only from program depend what will be transfered. For example if last instruction before this "T AB" was some kind of 

SET M 32.0 

this mean that RLO from this SET will be sent to Byte 0 ? Since M 32.0 can be theoreticaly used few times in a program ? Also command like

L EB 32

will read all inputs from Byte 32 so all markers from M 32.0 to M 32.7 will get already some "value" ? If it's like this then command

L EB 32
T AB 32 

should generally just read all inputs from adress 32.0 to 32.7 and transfer them to outputs from 32.0 to 32.7 even without using "set" command for the flab bit between. Am I right ?

With a load instruction (L) the states of the operands are written into the accumulator.
With a transfer instruction (T) the state of the accumulator is written into the operands.
Loading is not automatically loading into flags.

Example:

All Bits in MB1 are LOW.

A I0.0 (I0.0 = HIGH)
= M1.0

L MB1
T AB33 // Only A33.0 is set HIGH

Ahhh so there has to be SET instrucion (this "=") ?
OK so in my example it should be

L EB 0 (read inputs from Byte 0)
= MB 0 (assign those inputs to flag byte 0)

L MB 0 (load this earlier assign flag byte byte 0)
T AB 0 (transfer this byte to outputs)

Or maybe this "L MB 0" is not necessary ?

you must not use a flag byte. In my last post was it only a example....
