APC UPS and redundant WinCC server shutdown

gbs Posts: 178 Rating: (5)	Greetings all, Any solutions for redundant WinCC shutdown on APC ups? Shutting down of the server is automatic but it kills WinCC in the process. Apparently I can generate a command from ups then use this in WinCC but I lack the experience. So if anyone has the solution please feel free to comment. Thanks

gbs Posts: 178 Rating: (5)	Ok I have made some progress by using c script to shut down WinCC and the following vbs script that is triggered by the ups. ShutDown.vbs dim mcp set mcp = CreateObject("WinCC-Runtime-Project") mcp.SetValue "ShutDown",1 set mcp = nothing My question is how can I point this same script to set the internal tag on the redundant server? Thanks

Bizur Posts: 1530 Rating: (59)	Hello gbs, sorry, that I didn't answer to you earlier. Do you have one UPS for both servers or do you have two single UPS? If you have got one UPS for both Servers, than it should not be a problem, to run exactely the same script on second server. Did you get an answer concerning use of "Shut down" in UK? Hi gbs

I wrote application on Visual Basic. Thia appication communicate by COM-port (RS-232) with APC, and detect when powe APC is down. If after 20min power not restored, WinCC shutdown. WinCC exchange with application by OLE

We need to configure aal again to work again. My client is having a UPS. While reading your post I think this will solve my all issues.
