Changing IP address on Microbox IPC427c

aterris Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Ok as the subject says. I am having problems changing the ip address on my microbox. i.e. the standard windows one. Every time i try through windows it says i must install and enable a network card even though it is. It is using the CONTI_SYSTEM_BUS and IE_General in my PC configuration. I am able to change it in my hardware configuration but doesnt change it in windows or the station configuration program on the microbox and when i try to chnage it there everything is greyed out. Can someone please help as i am really out of ideas at the moment.

taxflor Silver Member Joined: 1/26/2011 Last visit: 8/11/2022 Posts: 243 Rating: (67)	Hi aterris, when i understand you correclty, you want to change the IP from your IPC over the SIMATIC Manager? For this you have to configure your Hadware Configuration first. In the IE-General Interface you declare the IP-Address you want to have. (See Scrennshot "IP_Address") After the Configuration in the Hardware you download your whole Project in the IPC. And at the mask "select node address" you click the button view, select your IPC and download the project on the IPC. After the Download the IPC now have the IP Address you declare in the IE-General in the Hardware confiugration. bigfoot Attachment Example.zip (733 Downloads)

aterris Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Hi Bigfoot thank you for your reply. I have done all this but it is still not changing in the windows side of the network configuration for the card. The step7 hardware configuration changes no problem.

And can you please send me a screenshot of your HW-Config.? That would be nice that i can help you ;) Greetings bigfoot

aterris Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Hi Bigfoot, Ok please find attached some pictures of my configuration and explanation of my problem. 1) The PC Hardware Configuration pic shows the configuration in the hardware configurator in Step 7. 2)IE General IP Address shows the IP address of the IE general in Step hardware configurator (This is where i am able to change the ip address to something new download to the microbox and step 7 configuartion chnages online) 3) Microbox Station Configurator shows the station configuration in the microbox this is where my problem is the IE General IP address never changes here and is always greyed out not allowing me to change it on the microbox also in the network configuration for windows i am unable to change it their it says i need to install and enable a network card which already is. Ithink it is possible to change the IP Address from the CP 1616 over the SIMATIC Manager but the IE General you can change the IP only in the Windows Network Connections. You can't change the IP from the IE General over SIMATIC Manager because it is always available andused in/fromWindows. You can change the IP from the IE General, when you insert the IE General interface into the WinLC in the Hardware Configuration. But then you can't use this interface as a Remote Desktop connection. Then the IE General interops like the CP 1616. regards bigfoot

Have it ever worked to change the IP before? Have you tried to Reinstall the Driver for the network card? aterris Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Hi Bigfoot, Yes tried stopping the controller and still no luck. This is the first time tried to change it onsite. Have not tried reinstalling the drivers etc yet as this is my last resort but could be happening soon. Thanks for your help

(screen "ie general ip address grey.JPG") "try" idea, only IPC side...: (try... = try to change IP) to remove all references to NIC: shutdown controller, try... remove IE general from configuration, try... set PG/PC interface "none", try... reboot, try... "start->run->cmd": ipconfig -renew try... disable enable connection try... what helps?
