IM308-C Not communicating with one of the OP37 with BF Flashing?

Hi Experts,

We have and old system with 2 IM308 that one of them connected to more than 15 OP37 and TD17 but it doesn't communicate with one of the OP37 and shows Error on OP37 Screen that is trying to communicate to PLC and then shows the Error "No PLC found..." and on IM308 the LED BF Flashing in two different Frequency, Sometimes 2 Hertz and sometimes very fast Flashing Red but Card stay in RUN Mode and communicate with others the way it was doing for the past 20 years...

Any idea what could cause this? By the way I changed the OP37 but still the same!

I suggest that you check profibus cables and termination resistors.

Maybe some one activated the termination resistor on the previous station, or bad connection or broken wire ?

which new system? NetPro and WinnCC flexible? I think not. Can you test it with a separate cable from IM308 to OP37?

We have used Profi Trace software and showing all Nodes OK and communicating but in reality 2 OP37 not communicating and showing PLC Not Faund...

Error Codes on the OP37 are:

115 PLC Stating up

41 Transfer Error

40 PLC Not Found (or Not communicating)

At the begining was Mixer 7 not communicating but by each power OFF and ON on the CPU, it changages from Mixer 7 to Mixer 5 and 6 or Mixer 5 and 4...

Still don't know whats the problem!!!

By the way any OP37 doesn't communicate at that time, Will not communicate even if we disconnect the main Profibus cable and connect that Mixer directly to the IM308 by a profibus cable made for test and still wont communicate and

any Mixer is communicating to the PLC will communicate even by the direct cable between OP and IM308!!!

So you already changed the OP37, checked cabling by directly connecting an OP37 to the IM308... and yet the problem still exists ...

Can you exchange the IM308 for another one?

I already changed IM308 and then changed the Flash Memory for the config (used Com Profibus to download config) and still the same.

I attach the project 3357@@st.s5d.

Function FX115 is where we see the error code 0x019D that copied by Secure FB58 to SW3610 for Mixer 5 (At the begining of the problem was Mixer 7 and the same code 0x019D was written to SW3614).

By Profi Trace shows the Node is OK !!!

As I said before firstly the problem was on Mixer 7 (Node 10) and after power OFF/ON changed to Mixer 5 and 6...

We found a parameter wrong for DP Window on one of the OP37 Config Data Base, for all OP37 that parameter is FC00 but one of the Faulty one has the value of 0006 for DP window!!!

In DB-ZU data block all OP37 are set to FC00 but when we go online we see the different between Mixer 06 with the others...

At the moment we haven't correct that parameter because all Mixers running and just those 2 faulty OP37 don't show the values of the recipes but in the background are running ok because of different IM308 is communicating with the PLC.

Friday afternoon we are going to change the parameter.
