Hello EHuggs; I found an old copy of the USB Prommer, manual, probably loaded from a M3 or M4 PG installation disk (it dates from 2002). It might still be useful to look at the Troubleshooting section, the information might still be current. As far as COM Profibus is concerned, the product (v5.1) has been discontinued, and is difficult to find on the market. You could always ask your nearest Siemens rep if he has a copy he can lend you, or if someone here has access to the installation disks and is willing to copy them. See the attachment below, it will give you the actual part number. Hope this hel;ps, Daniel Chartier AttachmentSimatic_USB_Prommer.pdf (716 Downloads) |

Thanks Daniel. I figured out what I needed due to another post I have been following. Panov69 had issues a few months ago and figured it out. It is a loaded program that is slightly hidden in the computer. Check https://support.industry.siemens.com/tf/ww/en/posts/new-pg-m5-impossible-to-burn-eprom-from-step5-using-internal-prommer/201969/?page=0&pageSize=10 for further information. It allows me to burn Step 5 and binary files which is exactly what I need. |
