We are playing "Pin the tail on the donkey" You have not even mentioned what type of PLC it is.. In the case of an S7-1200, there are some things to look for -- but there is no mode switch. I can only imagine that there is some hardware component problem or the program is going into an endless loop. If it is software, the PLC would at least go into RUN for a short while. In case of a hardware fault other lights would indicate such errors. Fine details can be helpful. I cannot imagine someone can be more helpful as I have been now if you are not able to add more information. Good luck. What is preventing you from connecting to the PLC? |

Hello Escanoor; Are there any fault LEDs active on your CPU? At the very least the DC5V LED should be active, if your power supply is providing the required voltage for the CPU to operate: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/12996906/28749907723 If there is power to the CPU, tell us if there is a MMC slotted in the CPU? What part number is it (and have you considered replacing the MMC)? Can you communicate with the CPU through Step 7? If the MMC is faulty, it will not allow you to download to the CPU and communications might be difficult. If you can see the CPU in Step 7, try opening the diagnostic buffer (CTRL +D) to see what issues you have in CPU operations Use the "Save As" button in the diagnostic buffer screen to generate a text file containing all the fault messages from the CPU, and post that text file on the forum os we can examine it.
