Problems with C scripts (They stop running)

dwb007 Experienced Member Joined: 1/15/2016 Last visit: 9/11/2024 Posts: 178 Rating: (4)	Hello, In my project I have several scripts (both in VB and C). Sometimes my C scripts STOP RUNNING. To start these C scripts again, the only solution is to open them and compile/save them. When I do this, they start running again. P.S.: The trigger of these C scripts is a system tag that runs every second. Many scripts are using these same tag to run. What could be the problem? Why do they stop running? Why do they just start when compile and save them?

If not, you might have a pointer issue.

"ActionOverflow:more than 10000 Actions to work". I noticed that when the scripts stopped running it does not register anything in the log files. I have to use the system tag "second" in my scripts. (This tag triggers my scripts every scond) How could I solve this problem?

HarrY ji Platinum Expert Joined: 2/21/2014 Last visit: 8/13/2024 Posts: 652 Rating: (348)	Hi, if you have to use that tag then the scripts will be called every second. do you really need to run the script every time ? if not then you can use a object may be an IO field of binary type) in your picture and make Output value TRUE as soon as the script starts and make it FALSE at the end. before making it TRUE, you can check the value of this object. if it is FALSE, make it TRUE and continue. if it is TRUE, return. so this way even if trigger is set at every second, script will be executed only if the previously triggered script finishes execution. however in this way you miss the execution of script many times. if this is acceptable you can try this. or may be have to optimize your scripts so that it finishes execution within the trigger time. i know of this idea, but i hope some one suggests a better way.
